Beginning March 6th, 2020, the Gainesville SDA church will be hosting a 6 week medical missionary training program called "CHAT", or "Community Health Advocate Training". CHAT prepares every member of the church to become an Advocate for the health of their community.  It also removes the fear and legal concerns voiced by the organized church about the term/concept of “medical missionary work” by advocating the simple principles of health, including water, exercise, rest, etc., as promoted by the Beehive’s “The New Life” brand of health resources. After all, you don’t have to be a healthcare professional to recommend drinking more water and increasing exercise. This training program seeks to encourage every member of the church to be active in reaching out to their community with simple messages of the love of Jesus and the health that He provides through His Word.

We have come to a time when every member of the church should take hold of medical missionary work. The world is a lazar house filled with victims of both physical and spiritual disease. Everywhere people are perishing for lack of a knowledge of the truths that have been committed to us. The members of the church are in need of an awakening, that they may realize their responsibility to impart these truths.

Over 6 weekends, there will be various presentations on the health principles that God has provided to us with an emphasis on personal practical application and being wise in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the opening wedge of health. The topics covered range from nutrition to history and prophecy to mental health and various other topics. This will serve to be an insightfully powerful and a time of corporate revival to work in behalf of the community to bring them closer to Jesus through the right arm of the gospel!

Jesus healing the lame or crippled man

Our Lord devoted more time and labor to healing the sick than to preaching. When He sent forth the seventy, He commanded them to heal the sick, and then to preach that the kingdom of God had come nigh unto them. The physical health was first to be cared for, that the way might be prepared for the reception of the truth which the apostles were to proclaim.

About Us

Reidland and Sherry-Lynne Brédy are a health ministry team that God has been putting together for the past seven years. They have dedicated their lives to spreading the Gospel through health, and even their careers reflect that. Reidland practices as a physical therapist and Sherry-Lynne is an occupational therapist. As they helped people in the rehabilitative field, they were convicted to do more, which led them to be trained as medical missionaries. Now they are seeking to teach others about Christ through the lens of health and show how Christ is the center of the health message. As a couple, they have travelled in various locations around the United States, teaching about the Gospel of Health as it is in Christ Jesus. They currently reside in the Gainesville area.
